We are one day away from the start of the Women's Rugby World Cup where defending champions England will begin their journey to defend their champions title. Taking place in Ireland WRWC2017 will see 12 nations battle it out over the next couple of weeks. The first match is England v's Spain and takes place at the UCD Bowl, Dublin at 2pm this Wednesday.
If you are one of the more than 18,000 women in England already currently enjoying participating in women's rugby you will be fully aware of the fun and excitement of taking part in this full contact team sport. Alternatively if you are looking to elevate your fitness routine from a boring gym session then rugby could be for you. The Rugby Football Union (RFU) is responsible for growing rugby union in England and has launched a strategy to take the game to 100,000 women and girls across the country. As with any contact sport it is always important to be protected as best you can. Scrum caps, mouth guards and hi-tech muscle strapping are all essential kit bag items - sports armour for women's bodies is also becoming more widespread with the Booband breast support band proving to be a lifesaver for women enjoying any contact sport.
